La Mom's Musique

Cute Frenchie alert!

What do old cars, beavers, and lollipops have in common?

They’re all a part of Cocoon’s “French Folk Touch” world. La Mom can’t get enough of this cutie-pie duo’s catchy melodies and pure harmonies.

Check out Cocoon’s hit single, Chupee, named after the ubiquitous Chupa Chup lollipops (Big Fry’s favorite!).

Does Cocoon have what it takes to win over American audiences? La Mom wants to know!

P.S. Any guesses as to where this video was filmed? I'm thinking Fontainebleau...

La Mom needs to push the wine glass away more often if she thinks Mr. Cutie Pie will win over American audiences while wearing a dead opossum on his head.

I'll be in Paris for a week in a couple of weeks. Hopefully I won't encounter any young men wearing Davy Crockett-like coonskin caps or other odd head gear.

I'm not excluding berets as odd head gear either, although I can't imagine a younger generation Frenchman wearing one.

Very catchy! And I had to laugh at Mike's comment about the dead possum!

@Mike & Ali,

I, too, was confused about the possum-as-headgear fashion statement. I swear that they're quite good-looking when not wearing dead animals...

They're not commercial enough for the U.S! You need to be a britney pop type / rapper type / or religious country & western type for the U.S market ...

Just look at the amount of [not so commercial] American bands that have went to the U.K & built a fan base there before tackling their home market ... Kings of Leon, The Killers, Scissor Sisters, Gossip, The Strokes & there are many others ... All started in the UK or initially signed with UK labels ...

Not.at.all.

Song is very cute but the video would be boycotted by the home-schooler crowd for the sexual innuendo and imagery let alone some of the other weirdness (possum hat). What's with the near kisses between these two, and the tight shots of the lady's legs; and was she feeding him at the beginning of the vid.?

I'm no home-schooler. And even for me the black scarf over the lady's eyes was a bit unnerving. Totally deviant behavior. LOL

As an American living in France, I don't see much in kid's entertainment that could truly cross-over to the US.

Adorable! France is my favorite place on earth. Having schooled in Bordeaux in the late 1980s, my favorite pop tune, then, which I continue to listen to, was Adelaide by Arnold Turboust. Since, we've tried to meet in Paris, but it never works out.

I also love the conversation about tomber amoureux!
