I went to the Galeries Lafayette looking for a new maillot de bain and wasn't very motivated after spying this super-sized sexy Parisienne advertising her hard body, perky nénés, and teeny bikini. So I've decided to take my business elsewhere: to Le Bon Marché - where bathing suit advertising is discreet and doesn't make La Mom feel like Le Pig.

I can't believe you let this advert put you off shopping at les Galeries Lafayette. I regularly sunbathe with my body well oiled and my bikini bottoms flung carelessly around my ankles. It's all the rage cherie.
Oh God! I can feel my insecurity rising from all the way over here. Damn those French women and their bodies!!! I think I'll postpone my maillot de bain shopping until next Summer. :(

Yes, that would send me home...... running all the way.
help! A friend bought me a cute baby shirt (I'm due in September)during her recent travels to the south of France, but I'm not sure of the exact translation...
I've got some experience with French, but this is baffling me!
petite fille trop chou recherche super nounou
The closest I can come is: 'Little girl (granddaughter?) trop chou(cabbage?) seeking super nanny.
Thanks for any help!!
I'm loving my one-piece now!
@KC,
It means "Cutie-pie little girl seeks super nanny".
"Chou" does mean cabbage, but it also means a lot of other things like "sweetie".
Good luck with those last few weeks!

La Mom,
I would have left too! This is just TOO much and I know it is very French but come on. Even if this is the "way" to sunbath, I highly doubt people want to see this plastered up in the center of Paris. St. Trop I might agree with, but not Paris.
Bon Weekend et a bientot a Paris!

Ah, Galeries Lafayette was where I bought my very first little black cocktail dress when I was 16.
Le horror and le hide!! xv

Come on! It's a naked body, we all have them! If you don't want to see billboards like this then don't come to Europe! Thankfully Europeans aren't uptight about nudity - it's natural.
How lucky your famille and friends are to have you ... You bring a smile and a laugh every time I visit, merci!

Oh I totally agree with you! I always feel so awkward when I see her in the metro all skantily clad! The last thing I want to do is head over there and shop.
She's a repeat from last year....or so says my husband!
