Only in France can you see an ad like this and nobody bats an eye.
I found this poster in the metro advertising the Louvre Museum youth pass. The painting is from the Louvre collection and the ad says, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
American readers: Would this offend you if you saw it in a public place?

Nudity does not bother me, so no, I would not be offended. In fact, I would be thrilled to see this. The US needs to lighten up a little on sex and nudity and get rid of all the violence we see! I think it's backwards here.
I would not be offended by any measure and I concur with what KimandCo said.
It would not offend me, but it would surprise me because of how uptight this country is. Why is nakedness and sex such a bad thing in America? I agree with KimandCo...we are totally backwards!
I don't think it would offend me, but it would stop me for a long stare.
Gotta ditto KimandCo and bijou. Wouldn't be offended at all! I have an appreciation for nudity/art.
That is so funny! If I saw that I would probably be offended only if I had my child with me! Otherwise...probably no!
Having took up Fine Arts and exposed to nude painting, I think it won't offend me. But if my children are with me and they saw this, it's another thing. :D
Nips don't bother me. South of the border pics might be a little much though!
Wouldn't offend me, but I would be surprised and not reading French think that it may be an add for breastfeeding. :-0 And we should lighten up about sex. I'm in my 40s and still feel guilty for wanting to have bad girl sex. ha ha!
I would be offended if I saw that out in the open. I think a woman's body is beautiful...but sacred! I
Just found you, you are FABULOUS!
A neighbor recently was deeply offended when her 12 year old son glimpsed a tampon in the purse of another neighbor and admonished the woman to "put that thing away" as her young son is young and impressionable. And that, my friends, is the average American, sad but true.
